A Photo of Our History Binders- for Sandra

By Kendra | May 31, 2009

After reading my post on planning, Sandra requested a photo of our history binder.

They’re nothing special, simply a 2″ binder with tabs numbered for the week we’re on.  Each week’s section contains maps, biography pages like the one shown, coloring pages if applicable, and anything else pertaining to the chapter/week of Mystery of History we’re studying.

    Kendra,

Thanks for posting your daughter’s notebook. It is nice to see what others are doing. I like the info filed week by week. Do you do a separte science notebook or just put all under each week? I love your idea of copying everything at the beginning of the year. I never thought of that but I can assure you that even though my copier is mere feet from my table copying pages leaves to degenerate behavior in my house!!!!!

    Glad you enjoyed the beach!

Oohhh, special! I got my own special blog reply/post! lol! Thanks! I will make one of these up!

I can’t fit both science and history into my schedule, I find I am just too busy. So, here in New Zealand we have our school year broken up into 10 week blocks, called terms.
Every ten weeks we have 2 weeks holidays, apart from summer over Christmas, it is 6 weeks. Every term I swap between history and science, I find we cover the same amount of work, and it just makes for less stress for mum!

    Hi Kendra

Did you know that the ‘my post on planning link’ for this post goes to a page that says ‘this appears to be broken.’ I am not sure if it just my end though so I thought I would let you know anyway
