Art Cards
By Kendra | January 8, 2010

Recently I was looking for copies of famous art so that when we discuss artists and their work during Circle Time or history or art, I can access the pieces quickly. Masterpiece Cards are a fantastic addition to our home library, and already in the two months I’ve had them, we’ve used them regularly, talking about each piece, looking for details, and reading about the artist and the work in the quick but informative info on the back of the cards.
There are 250 cards in the boxed set, and you can see an example of a card here.
Incidentally, the publisher didn’t ask me to review the cards; I found them simply by googling and I just wanted to share with you my little find!

Ooh!! I’ll have to get those! I had borrowed a set of prints from a friend but they were ginormous. The kiddos could see the prints but they were a bit cumbersome. Thanks so much for the review!

Ooh…I just looked at the price. I’ll have to save up for those…or maybe convince the library to buy them?!

I’m glad you did!
I have spent a lot of time searching for something *just* like this and haven’t been able to find something this good.
Thank you, Kendra!

Oh, thank you for the recommendation! These are just what I’ve been wishing for. If you don’t mind, how big are the cards? I couldn’t find dimensions on their web site. Thank you!

Kendra,
Thanks so much for the “thumbs up” — it’s most appreciated, especially for this very, very small business (also known as a one-woman operation!).
In response to Jodi’s question, each of the Cards is 4″ x 6″. They’re printed on heavy, durable stock, too (120 pound weight), so that they’ll last a long time. Thanks for the reminder that I need to mention their size more prominently on the website.
Best wishes to all of you for a peaceful and healthy New Year.
Susan

[...] Art Cards. Take a look at these art cards and see how one mom incorporates them in her lessons. [...]
